We take your privacy very seriously and take great care to protect your information. In particular, we want to reassure you that Verat Group is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with third parties. Based in Chorley, Lancashire we have a long history in organisation from our origins in 1908, introducing the first lever arch file to the UK, we are proud of Railex File and Store, and furthermore developing Brysdales that design, supply, install and inspect Dexion Racking. In addition, we supply offices and meeting rooms in Chorley as Verat Space and virtual office services.

We collect some data automatically – By contacting us by phone, as part of using our website and/or services we collect and process the following information:
- Contact data – location, email address or telephone numbers when you call our Business Centre or Sales & Service Centre.

We do not collect any special categories of personal data about you. This includes details about race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and bio-metric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

8. TRANSFERRING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE THE EEA
The EEA is the European Economic Area, which consists of the EU Members States, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. If we transfer your personal information outside the EEA we have to tell you.
We use data processors that provide our email marketing system (MailChimp), table ordering payment solution (Braintree) and Customer Contact Centre (Twilio) that reside outside the European Economic Area (EEA). This means that the processing of your personal data may involve a transfer of data outside of the EEA.
Our data processors are based in the United States and all are EU-US Privacy Shield certified, which requires them to provide similar protection to personal data as it has in Europe under GDPR.
9. DATA SECURITY
We are committed to protecting your personal data and to keeping it safe and confidential. We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator (including the ICO) of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
